Zadávajícím je evropská agentura pro léčivé přípravky („Agentura“ nebo „EMA“), decentralizovaná agentura Evropské unie (EU) se sídlem v amsterdamské čtvrti Zuidas.
Posláním EMA je ochrana a podpora veřejného zdraví a zdraví zvířat prostřednictvím hodnocení a dohledu nad humánními léčivými přípravky a veterinárními léčivými přípravky.

Invitation to tender: For the provision of office furniture, decorative lighting and accessories, maintenance, spare parts, warranty and ad hoc purchases, including ergonomic equipment and ad hoc services.
Purpose and context of the invitation to tender:
The European Medicines Agency (“the Agency” or “EMA”) is a decentralised agency of the European
Union (EU) based in the Zuidas area of Amsterdam.
EMA’s mission is the protection and promotion of public and animal health, through the evaluation and
supervision of medicines for human use and veterinary medicinal products.

The Agency’s building is currently fully furnished and all furniture items listed in Annex X to these
technical specifications are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which has currently four years
remaining. The Agency wishes to conclude a framework contract that will help maintain continuous
compliance with the manufacturer’s warranty over the given period of time. The scope of the contract
will cover the provision of the following services: furniture condition assessment, periodic maintenance
of furniture, decorative lighting and accessories covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, supply of
furniture, maintenance and supply of ergonomic furniture, supply of furniture parts including keys if
and when required, furniture installation services (inclusive of disposal of all packaging materials at no
extra cost to the Agency), inductions on correct use following furniture installations (at no extra cost to
the Agency) and maintaining existing asset tagging systems (online database).
The Agency may consider purchases of additional furniture items over the duration period of the
contract, including but not limited to:
• Standard chairs
• Office electrical height adjustable tables
• Visitor chairs
• Ergonomic chairs, footrests and equipment
• Meeting room tables
• Cupboards
• Low cabinets
• Caddies
• Acoustic enhancements and solutions
• Ad hoc consultations on ergonomic furniture
• Standalone booths (Phone or meeting booths)
• Lockers
The winning tenderer shall ideally provide user manuals in English for any of the purchased furniture.
