The European Union Satellite Centre ("SatCen") seeks to establish a supply framework contract with one single economic operator for the supply of high-end workstations, monitors, computer peripherals and associated services (i.e. transport, delivery, warranty and after-sale-support service) during the whole term of the contract, which shall not exceed 4 (four) years including possible renewals. -- The SatCen seeks to acquire high-end workstations from any manufacturer, in different form factors according to the three configurations described below (a larger, highly expandable desktop/tower class chassis for the Highest and Medium configurations, and a compact, small-footprint chassis for the Basic configuration); the exact form-factor designation may vary by manufacturer. Any model named in this Section are cited only as an indicative reference of the required class of equipment; equivalent products from any brand are equally accepted, provided equivalence is demonstrated. Assessment of equivalence shall be based on the following parameters: 1. 2. High-performance workstations built on current, vendor-supported hardware platforms; high performance CPU and large memory for intensive computing. Different upgrades and add-ons for high-performance workstations including: CPU, storage, memory, removable media, high-performance graphic processing units, high performance and large storage capacity; internal expandability and external connectors. Equivalence must be explicitly demonstrated so that it can be assessed by the SatCen (where relevant against the equivalence criteria as set out above). The SatCen reserves the right to disregard offers with missing, unclear or unconvincing information to this effect, without further evaluation, on the grounds that they do not comply with the tender specifications. By way of example (a non-exhaustive indication of acceptable means), equivalence may be demonstrated through the manufacturer’s official datasheets and/or a parameter-by-parameter comparison table mapping the offered product against each required characteristic, together with the relevant certificates where applicable. A manufacturer’s datasheet that clearly evidences compliance with each required characteristic may in itself be sufficient.
